HOW TO CLEAN GREASY FLOORS
Greasy floors in commercial kitchens and industrial areas pose a significant cleaning challenge. Traditional wet mopping often spreads grease and oil, making the floor slippery and unsafe. A more effective approach involves using superheated steam vacuums or floor scrubbers with degreasers, as they actively break down and remove greasy soiling.

HOW TO CLEAN GREASY FLOORS WITH A JETSTEAM/DUPLEX
Cleaning greasy floors effectively depends on the type of machine you're using (Jetvac steam vacuum, Jetsteam steam cleaner, or Duplex floor scrubber) and the level of grease, oil, and grime present on the floor surface.

Soiled Greasy Floors
Step 1
Operate in small areas, preferably starting from one end of the area.
Step 2
Steam small areas of the greasy floor with a light scrubbing action to melt the greasy soiling.
Step 3
Turn on the vacuum to extract the melted grime, leaving the surface clean, degreased, and dry.
Step 4
Repeat this process until the entire kitchen floor has been cleaned and degreased.
Duplex Floor Scrubber
Heavily Soiled Greasy Floors
Step 1
Use the 'Flood & Scrub' technique, working in small areas of about 2sqm at a time.
Step 2
Firstly, scrub the floor (with water or detergent) with the pick-up system turned off. This allows the brush action and the water/detergent to quickly break up greasy soiling on the floor surface.
Step 3
Once the soiling starts to break up, you'll see the water color change, and the floor surface become cleaner.
Step 3
When the small area of the floor looks cleaner, turn on the pickup system to extract the dirty water/detergent solution, leaving the area of the floor clean and dry.
Lightly Soiled Greasy Floors
Step 1
Start at one end of the area, working in long laps to increase efficiency.
Step 2
When grease levels on the floor are low, you can effectively simultaneously scrub, wash, and dry the floor surface in a single pass. This is perfect for daily cleaning when soil levels are lower.
