HOW TO CLEAN Industrial FLOORS
Cleaning greasy floors effectively depends on the type of machine you're using (Jetvac steam vacuum, Jetsteam steam cleaner, or Duplex floor scrubber) and the level of grease, oil, and grime present on the floor surface.
Duplex Floor Scrubber
Heavily Soiled Greasy Industrial Floors
Step 1
Use the 'Flood & Scrub' Technique: Work in small areas, approximately 2 square metres at a time.
Step 2
Initial Scrubbing:
Scrub the floor using water or detergent with the pick-up system turned off. This approach allows the brush action combined with the water/detergent to effectively break up the greasy soiling on the floor surface.
Step 3
Monitoring the Cleaning Process:
Continue scrubbing until you notice the water changing colour and the floor surface starting to appear cleaner.
Step 4
Extraction and Drying:
Once the small area looks cleaner, activate the pick-up system to extract the dirty water/detergent mixture. This step ensures the area is left both clean and dry.
Lightly Soiled Greasy Industrial Floors
Step 1
Efficient Cleaning Strategy:
Begin at one end of the area and proceed in long laps to maximise efficiency.
Step 2
Single-Pass Cleaning:
For floors with low grease levels, simultaneously scrub, wash, and dry the floor surface in a single pass. This method is ideal for daily maintenance when soil levels are relatively low.

Lightly Soiled Industrial Floors
Step 1
Set to Standard Mode:
Ensure the Salla is set to its standard cleaning mode.
Step 2
Single Pass Cleaning:
Proceed with cleaning in single passes. The machine will simultaneously scrub the floor and extract the residue.
Step 3
Final Result:
This process leaves the floor clean and dry, suitable for light soiling.
Heavily Soiled Industrial Floors
Step 1
Intensive Cleaning Mode:
Set the Salla to a more intensive cleaning mode suitable for heavy soiling.
Step 2
Flood & Scrub Technique:
Start scrubbing with water on but the vacuum off. This helps to break up the heavy soil.
Step 3
Extraction:
Once the soil is loosened, turn on the vacuum to extract the dirty water, cleaning the floor.
Greasy Industrial Floors
Step 1
Apply Degreaser:
Use a degreasing agent or citrus detergent. Apply it directly to the floor or via the Salla's clean solution tank.
Step 2
Flood & Scrub Application:
Employ the flood & scrub technique for efficient cleaning of greasy floors.
Step 3
Rinse the Floor:
After scrubbing, rinse the floor to remove any remaining detergent residue.
