Jetsteam Steam Cleaner
Heavily Soiled Duco
Step 1
Assess the Level of Soiling:
Determine if the duco is heavily or lightly soiled. Heavy soiling is characterised by visible dirt and grime, while light soiling consists of light dust and watermarks.
Step 2
Preliminary Cleaning:
Remove the bulk of the grime using high-pressure water or a brush and bucket of water. This step is crucial for reducing the amount of dirt before steam cleaning.
Step 3
Steam Cleaning Setup
:
Attach the high-pressure steam lance to the JetSteam.
Step 4
Steam Clean from Top to Bottom
:
Starting from the top, use the steam lance about 5-10cm away from the duco, moving in side-to-side motions (around 20cm wide) to melt the grime.
Step 5
Dry as You Go:
Simultaneously use a microfiber cloth or chamois in the other hand to dry the area. Change the cloth when it gets too soiled or wet.
Lightly Soiled Duco
Step 1
Assess the Level of Soiling:
Determine if the duco is heavily or lightly soiled. Heavy soiling is characterised by visible dirt and grime, while light soiling consists of light dust and watermarks.
Step 2
Steam Cleaning Setup:
Equip the JetSteam with a high-pressure steam lance.
Step 3
Gentle Steam Clean
:
Steam from a distance of approximately 5-10cm, starting from the top and moving in side-to-side motions, ensuring you cover all areas.
Step 4
Continuous Drying:
Use a microfiber cloth or chamois in tandem with steaming to dry the surface, replacing the cloth as needed.
Step 5
Targeting Stubborn Residue (Optional):
For areas with stubborn tar or bug residue, use the triangle head with a cloth clamped on for a more focused cleaning.
